The URL Redirect, URL Frame and IP Address Pointing features are free with every domain registration. They do not include any banner ads like some registration companies such as Register.com.

Web Site Pointing

There are several other options for Web Site Pointing including IP Address Pointing and URL Redirect.

URL Redirect

Another great option for Web Site Pointing is URL Redirect. With this setting your domain name is pointed to a specific web site but the domain name stays in the browser.

URL Redirect is preferred when you want the destination web page to appear in the browser. This is great for protective or marketing domains names that point to your main branded site.

IP Address
Pointing

Our IP Address Web Site Pointing is a great free feature when you use our nameservers. After an easy configuration in your domain control panel, your domain can be pointing to any other IP Address on the Internet.

With IP Address Pointing, after you type in your domain name the page resolves to the IP Address. You may have your own IP address or have been given an IP address by a hosting company. This can give you added branding perception for your domain name.

Point To Any Other Web Page For Free With No Banner Ads!

Our URL Frame Web Site Pointing is a great free feature when you use our nameservers. After an easy configuration in your domain control panel, your domain can be pointing to any other page on the Internet.

Meta Tag Configuration - The URL Frame feature with domains in a Premium or Reseller Account includes specialized Meta Tag configuration to optimize search engine placement and indexing.

With URL Frame, after you type in your domain name the page resolves to the destination web page but your domain name stays in the browser. This can give you added branding perception for your domain name.

To experience an example of URL Frame type the following domain into your browser:

http://RegistryFrame.com

This domain has the URL Frame feature activated with the domain pointing to:

http://RegistryDomains.com/url_frame.htm

When you type http://RegistryFrame.com into your browser this domain name stays in the browser, but it is pointed to http://RegistryDomains.com/url_frame.htm .

Please note that once a domain resolves using URL Frame, that domain stays in the browser the same way for all hyperlinks including links away from your site. This may or may not be a benefit in your web strategy.

To use URL Frame you must be using our nameservers. If the "Hosts" section is visible (see below) in your domain control panel you are using our nameservers. (New domain registrations default to our nameservers). To configure URL Frame select and type in the settings below changing the address for the Host Name "@" with the web site address you want your domain to be redirected to.

Remove any other default settings including any parking page default settings.

Please note that the setting above for the "www" pointed to the host "@" insures that people will be able to access your site with or without the "www" typed in the browser.

Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on "Modify" to save your changes.

If your domain is a new registration you can pre-configure these settings, but please note that it can take 24-36 hours for a new domain to be fully updated or propagated across the Internet.

If your domain has been registered longer than 1-2 days your changes will take affect usually within 5-60 minutes. Type your domain name into a new browser and check the resolution.
